Hello to probably no one, considering this is my first blog post!
I’m new to this world so let me introduce myself. My name is Stacey and my debut novel The Hot Mess Express was published on Amazon last week, so I figure it was time to create a website. I’m so bad at self-promotion, the anxiety voice in my head screams at me “No one cares, you’re annoying them” but I guess if you’re here, maybe you care.
I wrote this book because I wanted to capture what it feels like to be stumbling through life, making mistakes, and somehow still finding moments of laughter and hope. It’s a story for anyone who’s ever felt like they’re winging it while drowning in the grief of losing a parent, just trying to keep the wheels from falling off. If you’ve ever had a day where everything goes pear-shaped, you’ll find a bit of yourself in these pages.
This book combines my love of Formula and margarita’s, it’s a romcom that based in Melbourne and the takes you around the world following the F1 circuit. If you know me personally, you’ll see a little of me in FMC Sage.
I feel that stories can help us feel less alone, and that’s why I finally took the plunge into writing. Whether you’re into fast cars, messy emotions or just need a good laugh after a rough day, I hope The Hot Mess Express brings you some comfort and joy. You won’t find any third act breaks or miscommunication tropes here, what you will find is probably a little of yourself in these pages and a romance that so addictive you’ll be screaming at me for book two. Don’t ask me about book two right now, as I seem to have written myself into a massive plot hole…
